3pm safely moored up..

Posted by indigodream on 18 June, 2016

…at Limehouse Basin – the Medway has been a great experience, despite the weather.

Look forward to going there again some time πŸ™‚

Big thanks to the St Pancras Cruising Club for organising the convoy – it’s been fab.

I’m enjoying being on the water but I would also enjoy being on the QE II bridge seeing narrowboats go by below πŸ™‚

At Gateway – MOL ship is 282m long and 40 wide; the tanker coming down is a diminutive 82m long….

At 18m long, Indigo Dream is just a bit of flotsam πŸ˜€

The Journey Back: Day 1

Posted by indigodream on 17 June, 2016

Wet Sue

Not the best weather!

So today we head from Allington down the tidal Medway to Queensborough, a relatively short hop but the weather is not nice.

We are the middle boat of a convoy with Doris Maria and Zavala ahead of us, Arthur Dent and Panacea behind us. Noteworthy day for Panacea, at lunchtime today in the Malta Inn Libby told us that today is Panacea’s 35th anniversary!

We are currently showing up on Marinetraffic.com doing a steady 4.9 knots, engine revs a mere 1000
