Indigo Dream’s BCN Marathon Challenge 2017

I’m chronically behind with the blog so you’ll just have to wonder how we flew from Church Minshull to Birmingham, via a very swanky repaint by genius boat artist, Andy Russell.

But here we are in Birmingham, Indigo Dream is gleaming in the sunshine and we’re almost at our starting point for this year’s BCN Challenge.

As always, we’ve set ourselves an ambitious target but the scoring system is very cunning – have we done enough to win or even to get into the rankings? Only time will tell!

In the meantime, motivate us to keep going in Birmingham’s burning heat by sponsoring our efforts! This year we are supporting three local branches of the Retired Greyhound Trust – Hall Green, Perry Barr and Wolverhampton.

NOTE: The “donate” button on the team page doesn’t seem to like Firefox, but works well with other browsers – we’ve reported the problem, but if you do use Firefox and want to make a donation, just click on the link to any of the individual charity pages and then the donation will work.

We’ll be starting at the Dudley end of the BCN before meandering over to the Curly Wyrly (aka the Wyrley and Essington), Walsall and the environs before heading to the finishing line at Titford at Sunday lunchtime.

We have a great human and canine crew – some veterans – Christine (human!), Archie and Henry hounds and some newbies – Kristel and Ian (human), Alex and Freya hounds.

We haven’t done a dry weather BCN Challenge since 2009 – hope I havent jinxed it by saying that!
